Transportation Manager

The Transportation Manager works cooperatively with families, volunteers and staff to insure the safe transportation of children and families in accordance with federal, state, local and Agency rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and transports children via a Head Start school bus to and from the Head Start center for morning classes

High school diploma/GED required with two years transportation services experience. Valid CDL with no moving violations within the past three years. Must obtain a School Bus Drivers Certification and Public Passenger Certification.

Bus Drivers

The Head Start Bus Driver position is a part time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week during the school year. The Bus Driver transports children via Head Start school bus to and from the Head Start Center and transports families to and from the Head Start Center via school bus during program activities.

High school diploma/GED required. Must possess a valid CDL with no moving violations for the past three years and proof of liability insurance. Must obtain a School Bus Drivers Certification.

Child Care Workers

WICAA is hiring child care workers for the School Age Child Care Program. You will be placed at a Vigo County school where you will supervise children before and/or after school. Must have experience working with children and access to reliable transportation and willingness to use personal transportation as part of job responsibilities.

Head Start Classroom Aide

The Classroom Aide works with Head Start families, children, volunteers and classroom staff to provide a comprehensive age appropriate, safe, child-centered learning environment for children ages 3-5, assists the bus driver in the safe transportation of children via Head Start school bus in accordance with federal, state, local and Agency rules, regulation policies and procedures. Must have high school diploma or GED; CDA preferred. Must have organizational skills and knowledge of early childhood education.
