ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Family Development Program works with families to offer strategies to assist with attaining economic self-sufficiency. Family needs are assessed to develop action plans that help families achieve their goals. Through office and home visits, assessments, goal setting and progress evaluations participants are able to earn GEDs, complete job training and become better prepared to provide for their families and contribute to the local economy.

Family Development offers intervention strategies for addressing challenging family issues, including budgeting/money management, adult education, employment, health care, substance abuse, transportation, family relations, utilities, housing and accessing community resources. Case managers work closely with families to provide support and develop plans to help them achieve their objectives.
